Series recordings

Can you please remove additional information in the guide from behind a sports program to allow series PVR recordings to be set.
An example is premier league soccer on NBC today at 10.30 channel 144. Putting Manchester United vs Wolverhampton behind the Premier League Soccer stops me setting the series to record all EPL on that channel.

its even worse for Pintys curling on Spirtsnet with all the different draw numbers too!

Spirits Net?   🙂

If you use the "Search" function, and search for "Pinty" in the "title", there should be an "auto-record" option. Be sure to exclude "repeats". You may want to choose "on all channels".

Yes of course its Sportsnet, or TSN

Tried that and it doesn't work

It recognizes each episode as a different program and therefore not part of a series.

I think Shaw are the only ones who can fix it

And looks like they have no interest in fixing it. For example, the women's world Cup is considered a series but the western and southern tennis open is not considered a series - so what the hell?

This has been like this for a long time.

Nice rant.

Shaw probably has "frozen" everything, after the announcement (April 3, 2023) that Rogers has purchased Shaw.

Note that the content in the "Guide" is provided by third-party services, not by Shaw, and not by Rogers. So, if the provided content is different for each broadcast time-slot, rather than being "consistent" for a whole event, blame those third-party providers.
