Hello:
With the new CoVID-19 pandemic and people asked to self isolate, and with some restrictions lifted for cell phone uses, will Shaw entertain the idea of opening up some pay based channels and ensure people can entertain at home? As movies, sports events, restaurants and bars close, would Shaw consider opening up fee based TV channels?
Thank you for considering this

Global BC1 is available it seems along with CTV News Channel and CBC News Network
@sverjinschi All Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct customers have been given access to a number of channels for free during this period to help keep them informed and their family entertained. To ensure our customers have reliable and up to the minute information we’ve included CBC News Channel, CTV News Channel, CP24, LCN and RDI (subject to availability). For kids at home we have also included Family, Family JR, CHRGD and Treehouse TV. A complete list can be found here.

SHAW has done a nice job in providing some extra channels via free preview but hopefully they can add some more channels in the near future. Tbaytel recently added about extra 60 channels via free preview for their customers.

Novus has added a bunch of extra channels too: https://www.novusnow.ca/promos

Which model of digital terminal (or PVR) do you have?
Some of the channels require a newer PVR to decode "compressed" video. For example, video of the "BC1" news channel is using a compressed stream, even on the "standard" (not "high-definition") channel.
Any idea what channel numbers the kids ones are in Calgary? Not seeing Chrgd for sure in the guide at all today. Should be 116 or so according to the shaw site, but I'm not seeing it.
How about a movie channel or two? I see enough of the Covid-19 on local news...I don't need another news channel.
