No. All you require is an internet account , modem and wifi router. From there you can access the usual services like Netflix, Prime and alike. Be aware though, that some of the TV apps like Global, FxNow and City TV will require a paid subscription as well. You can have a complete suite of apps and subscribe to each accordingly. The only thing you will be missing is live TV and there are even now solutions evolving now.
