Tv turns on at 5am since blue curve installation

So since I installed blue curve Friday night, Saturday morning ,Sunday morning, Monday morning and now Tuesday morning, my TV is on at 5:30 in the morning each morning. I’ve restarted the blue curve, but I have no idea what’s going on and it still does it.

any ideas??

@Bubbles50 that is certainly odd. It may be a power setting or a "wake up" on power with your TV. I recommend disabling the energy-saving mode to see if it helps.

This is happening to me too (around 3am). After investigation I noticed that the Shaw Bluecurve TV has a setting to update itself and reboot during the night. I suspected that it was turning the TV on during the reboot and switched the schedule to be between 10am and 12pm. Today it turned on around noon.

This is very likely the reason for the tv randomly turning on.

Yes! My bedroom tv turns on every morning and wakes me up. No other tv in the house does this.  I’ve just tried changing the update time so it doesn’t wake me up, but I also do t want to have to be home every day to turn it off once it turns itself on.

@dbrewer  The cable box could be updating, but your TV shouldn’t turn on, make sure the TV power is off and not sleeping.
