Unintended Autostart of Recordings

For the past several months I've had a nagging issue with replaying recordings. The problem is that the recording will automatically restart, regardless of where I am in the recording. This problem only occurs under these scenarios:

1) when replaying a recording of a program that is still live. (In other words, If I have recorded a 2+ hour football game and want to start watching the program from the beginning while the rest of it is being recorded.)

2) I am fast forwarding the recording, for example to skip a part of the recording

This is a very irritating problem and calls to technical support as well as a visit from a technician have been fruitless. My guess is that this a known software issue with Bluecurve, yet no one at Shaw will admit it.

I'd be interested in knowing if any other users are having this issue.

No error messages. It just skips back to the start of the recording to time 00:00 regardless of where I am watching in the recording. It never happens to recordings that are no longer "live". Have reset all boxes and the modem, with no success.

@Thomct -- did the BlueCurve "reset" itself, due to some glitch inside the box, or an interruption in the signal reaching it, or a power-bump inside your residence?
