@bhrighde Rogers acquired the Canadian rights to Discovery from Warner Bros., so those channels and content aren’t going anywhere.

It would appear that the HGTV/Home logo's need an update to resolve an issue of having a double logo

I thought USA Network (CA) is on a free preview for January. I seen it as a "National Free Preview" during a commercial, so I would assume that "all" providers would offer the preview. Here is a screenshot when tuned to channel 425 today, January 1st. It is a loading screen. Also, the channel does not appear in the EPG guide. I will try resetting channels from my.shaw.ca account and see if it fixes it.
