@mdk  The "base services" are defined as TV and/or Internet.

And it looks like they could raise the price of the TV service at any time.

@rstra -- I disagree about any price-change for TV services within my ValuePlan.

One of my recent invoices shows:

Promotions

2-year ValuePlan Fibre+ 500 Price Guarantee (expires 17-Oct-24) -2.19
2-year ValuePlan       Total TV Price Guarantee (expires 17-Oct-24) -1.65

To me, it seems like I had a "guarantee" for my TV services for my ValuePlan that recently ended.

INVOICE DATE: October 1, 2024
DUE DATE:       October 22, 2024

Yes, under their current billing system, I had 21 days to make a "manual" payment. My Rogers credit-card statement did show an auto-debit on the 14th day, as I expected.

Again. Where are you copy/pasting this information from? Where is your source?  I am sorry if you have another contract

from everybody else in the forum but in the ORDER SUMMARY it does not mention any of that.

I have been a customer since 1973 and purchased 3 boxes in 2011. They gave me three, free ignite boxes, noted in the contract.

i explained it to you three times already. It's amazing how you can't read anything from any other user on this forum.

you only read your own information to get your "thrills".

Please leave me alone. Thank you.  Everyone will leave this forum

because of your attitude.  There's no need to attack me on here.

The way you present your information is if you are consulting with Shaw for your own good.

You're not helping anyone but yourself.

@michaelstein , you are correct no personal attack should have been made or even assumed, I apologize.  However you totally misunderstand the point I was trying to make and it got too frustrating for me.. To put it short , I 100% disagree with and how Rogers/Shaw has implemented these price increases, it is (morally) wrong because too many people, like yourself believed that your 2 year value plan exempted yourself from any type of price increase for the full 2 year period on all services, without realizing or bothering to check that of course there is the (small print exemptions).  But they have done nothing illegal is what I'm saying, shady yes, on the border yes, a little underhanded yes, but not illegal, they have lawyers that only do contractual law and they make sure to cover their asses in the event of any type of lawsuit.  Again Sorry for any personal attack.  And let me be clear I hope that changes will come out of all this mess that Rogers has created, whether it be a credit or even an order to make sure from now on Customers of Rogers are fully explained that there can be exemptions to prices, or even better truly lock in all prices from now on.  Here is the link to rest of your official contract,     Terms of Use | Rogers Together With Shaw  there is lots and lots to read.

Ever since rogers has taken over shaw from the beginning...

Ever since rogers has taken over shaw from the beginning could tell the difference in their reps. When you called no longer heard the rep wanting to help you out now the reps are only one thing profit profit profit. There's no more I want to help you it's only one main idea profit making a profit and how much more money I can make. I don't mean to sound mean or rude but with rogers that is the way that most people thought of them before and as they were taking over shaw. It seems now with this policy that it comes shining through unfortunately. I don't see any family oriented cable tv it is more so making a profit is the sole purpose of this. I chatted today and found out and this time they wanted to charge me $12 and I only have one. What the heck. I don't want to encourage this profit hunt for them. I just said nope and left the chat. It doesn't seems right and it doesn't seem that rogers in the same way as shaw there here for their customers

@Bambi202324  My experience is that there are a lot of incompetent reps. Helping my dad shut down cable tv at his vacation home, resulted in them shutting down services at his primary residence. This, despite verifying the account information twice during the chat.

The second time I was helping him setup the new wireless box, for some reason the serial number didn’t match what they had on record, the rep wanted to send a new one and have me return the one we had. I ended the chat, called in and the girl was able to quickly correct the serial number and activate the box.

Both interactions required multiple contacts with Rogers, for what should have been pretty simple requests. I cringe whenever I think I might need to contact them again.
