When someone calls us they get a busy signal and when we pick up to call out we alsdo get a busy signal??

@MBrouillette / @mridea  / @ingyot1 -- if you pick up your handset, and immediately hear 3 beeps, before hearing the "steady" dial-tone, Shaw is telling you that you have new voice-mail. Dial <star><nine><eight> to access your voice-mail.

Otherwise, @rstra is correct. You have one telephone or FAX machine or FAX-unit inside your Multi-Function Printer that is keeping your telephone-line "open", so that nobody can call you, and you cannot start a new call.

Turns out both Shaw and I had to reset the modem.
