Connections

Available connections on the Rogers Xfinity Gateway (Gen 2) include four Ethernet ports for hardwired devices, and dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz). There are two telephone ports on the modem to support up to two home phone landlines. You'll also find factory reset and WPS buttons for resetting the modem or connecting devices via WPS.

Light sequence

The Rogers Xfinity Gateway (Gen 2) has a single light on the top to indicate the modem status. The light will be a solid white colour when the modem is up and running. If the modem is reset, it will go through the following sequence of lights as it reboots:

  • No light: Device off
  • Amber (solid): Booting up
  • Amber (flashing): Downstream registration
  • Green (flashing): Upstream registration
    • Note: On the CommScope model this sequence will appear twice
  • White (flashing): Ready for WiFi setup
  • White (solid): Online with Internet access
  • Amber / Green (alternating): Firmware download
    • Note: On the CommScope model this sequence will appear twice
