are we able to set up two accounts under one household

My brother has had to move in with us - he's staying in our basement - he's been complaining about the wifi in the basement, as he plays a lot of computers games. It's starting to cause issues between us.

Are we able to set up a separate account, with all his own internet needs, under one household? That way he can have his own internet needs, and we can leave ours as his.

In most cases, it is possible to setup a 2nd separate account for a basement suite. It usually requires a tech to come split the connection to ensure the RF levels for both modems is at optimal levels.

what about when that person moves out is it an issue to change the service back to the way it was. Being the one account.

@bwilson9213 -- is it possible to move your cable-modem to a different cable-outlet in your house, closer (vertically) to your brother's computer, without messing-up your wired or wireless connections?  Or, to temporarily run a CAT-6 Ethernet cable from your cable-modem to the downstairs, to make a "wired" connection into his computer? Or, more simply, move the brother's computer to be closer (vertically) to the existing location of your cable-modem?
