The room where you have an existing tv box will be part of the moca network, but it appears that the xb6 is outside of the moca network, likely, as you suggest, because of a filter. Unless you can get in to the box outside, you may be out of luck.

True. However, contact Shaw, and get them to unlock the box, for them to add the MOCA filter, or to verify that there already is one inside their demarcation box.

@boons A the very least, the filter should be at the entry point for the cable, to keep signal off the plant. You could also isolate the moca devices on a splitter and install the filter there.

So after returning the MoCA Adapter, I've ordered myself a Wi-Fi 6 PCI-E Card for my PC. My PC currently has a basic 1x1 802.11AC Wi-Fi Card (which is the one it came with). With the current Wi-Fi Card, I can only get a 433Mbps Tx Rate which results in a ~200Mbps Download speed when running a speed test. The new Wi-Fi Card I'm getting has a much higher throughput, so I should be able to get 600Mbps (which is the max speed in my internet plan).

Will it be as reliable as an ethernet connection? Obviously, no. But it will achieve my objective.
