@jose_martino -- noisy XB6

This is a very-common thread on this discussion forum. One answer is to try to get Shaw to swap-in the newest XB7 modem. This may require you to upgrade your contract to the Shaw Fibre+ Gig (or "Gig 1.5") level.  Note that the latest offer to non-Shaw customers is Shaw Fibre+ 500, with the XB7. Check the other threads, for other suggestions (extra cooling, physical baffles, et cetera).

Same issue here, yet Shaw/Rogers won’t/can'tdo anything.

@LindsayW1 -- welcome to this peer-to-peer discussion forum, where volunteers try to help.

In your case, please read the first reply to the original question.

The only solution is to replace the XB6 by the XB7 or the XB8 models, which are silent. Rogers may require you to upgrade your Internet speed, which may require the replacement of the XB6.

If your XB6 is reported to Rogers as "dead", what will Rogers ship you as a replacement cable-modem? Another XB6? A better model?

if you pay to upgrade to 500 Mbps (download) and 200 Mbps (upload), you get "WiFi 6E" service, which is a feature ONLY of the (silent) XB8 cable-modem -- not the (noisy) XB6, and not the (silent) XB7.
