I need to reset my IP address. None of the usual online solutions have worked. Do I need to swap my modem for this or can Tier 1 or Tier 2 this for me? Thanks
@Upfront6891 the modem would need to be replaced. We are unable to change the IP address remotely.

Why? Have you painted yourself into a corner, such that you think that a change of IP-address is the only viable solution?
Please tell us your real problem, and maybe we can help.

@shaw-tony Thank you. This is new it seems. In the past, via tech support, this was possible especially if there are two IP addresses associated with your account.

It always depends on which cable-modem that you have - "new" or "old".
For example, on the HITRON:
Basic Settings
This menu show the basic settings of the device
LAN Setup / WAN Setup / Gateway Function / Port Forwarding / Port Triggering / DMZ / DNS
DMZ Settings ...

One IP-address can be assigned into the DMZ ("De - Militarized Zone") to not be port-filtered by the modem, i.e., "Passthrough".
@Upfront6891 ah, it is possible to have a secondary free IP assigned but that won't replace the current one you have. One of our customer support team members can assist with getting that added as some account verification is required.
I would like to add a 2.4ghz and also keep my 5.0GHZ
