I have an external hard drive that i'd like to share on our home network. Is it possible to connect it to the Hitron router via one of the USB ports on the router?

Gotcha. Thanks for your time!
@Kevang -- not currently.

@Kevang -- Is it possible to connect it to the Hitron router via one of the USB ports on the router?
No.
You could connect the external disk-drive to any USB port on any "always-on-never-sleeping" computer on your network, and then use Windows Networking to "share" the whole disk-drive to the other computers on your LAN.
Is there a way to connect a USB drive via one of the ethernet ports?

Although I have seen USB-connected devices offer an Ethernet port, I have never seen the reverse.
So, I say "no" to your question. It would require that the USB device have built-in Ethernet.
It would be easier to connect your USB device to an always-on, never-sleeping computer, and use Windows file-sharing to make the device available for sharing over your LAN.

One more question ... does Shaw offer a modem that will allow plugging in a USB device?
@Kevang -- not currently.

Oops, thanks for clarifying that!
Log into your Horton 2250, click into the administration section. Hopefully it'll work for you, just copy and paste this link.
http://192.168.0.1/index.htm#admin_usb/m/4/s/6
You'll notice that the admin_usb was the first change, and then changing the last number to six was the last change to do.
It doesn't exactly follow the normal numerical order of going up by one number, but number six this can give this ball with the USBs are.
