It's quite insulting how Shaw is handling their products and services during this pandemic. They initially deny (like China) there's any performance or service issues with their internet speeds. After pressing and escalating the issue, they acknowledge the obvious: congestion. However, to have them admit this is like having the
World Health Organization acknowledges they don't like Taiwan or they're hiding the facts.
Furthermore, I see Crave TV offering some free viewing. What about Shaw? No, not at all. They will increase your rates and they won't offer any discounts or rebates during this time. How disgraceful it is to have providers like this in a country such as Canada.
> I see Crave TV offering some free viewing. What about Shaw? No, not at all. They will increase your rates ...
Shaw is offering free access to various news networks (CNN, CBC News, CTV news) to child-friendly networks, and to the 70/80/90/00 group of movie-channels.
Shaw has deferred the rate-increase that was scheduled for June 1st.
Are you subscribed to a Shaw "two-year Value Plan" ? That plan guarantees no price-increases for 2 years. At the end of 2 year, you just sign-up for another two-year term.
@Upfront6891 I am not aware of any congestion-related issues. The signal to your modem is a tiny bit off-spec but shouldn't affect your speeds very much, some troubleshooting should get that back to normal. I checked your area and everything looks good with no congestion issues. Are you noticing issues with slow speeds?
