@Snsmith1 It would only be for Ignite customers, if you don’t already have an XBx, Rogers would likely give you a legacy Arris phone modem.

I have a XB7 but wanted the XB8 for better Wifi and was told no. That it would not be compatible with my home phone.

@Snsmith1 If your current phone is connected to your XB7, it would work on an XB8. Whether or not you would qualify for the upgrade is up to Rogers, either way, the XB8 supports home phone.

@Snsmith1 -- all the time, do you have to tell the 100% truth to Rogers/Shaw?

Ask them what phones are compatible, and "promise" to buy one, if Rogers/Shaw will ship you an XB8. Connect it, and then "forget" to buy a compatible phone -- just use your current phone.

@rstra -- since that Shaw/Rogers Agent said that the person's phone is not compatible, that implies that they have a list of phones that are incompatible. Maybe, that list also lists compatible phones. Maybe.

I was told no and refused an xb8 by a so called Rogers specialist had to settle for an xb7. Annoyed that they advertised bundle as Next-Gen Wifi 6E but couldn’t deliver
