Since Shaw no longer exists, and it is unlikely that Rogers would send an email with weak attempt at a Shaw logo…scam.

@SandraZinger -- the E-mail contains a hyperlink to: https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/1uClbF

That is not a "some-thing-dot-shaw-dot-ca" web-site.

In fact, it is a site where online "surveys" can be created & completed.

When I tried to access that "survey", I got "survey does not exist".  Obviously, a complaint to ZOHO PUBLIC caused them to remove the scammer's "survey".

Which month?  🙂

This is an indicator of a poorly-composed scam message.  Delete it.

Probably, some other person received the same message, and has captured the message (with E-mail headers), and has sent the complete message to: reportspam@shaw.ca  for Shaw/Rogers to investigate the origin of the message.  So, you don't need to do the same.

@3154 -- I received the same E-mail. The hyperlink cited in the E-mail is:

   https://survey,zohopublic,com/zs/1uClbF

[I changed each "dot" to a "comma", so that nobody can click on this link.]

which definitely is NOT a Rogers/Shaw web-site.

Definitely a SCAM attempt.

Check the E-mail ID in the "FROM:" field, e.g., "<" and (some-ID) and "@" and "gmail.com" and ">".  Probably, the scam message was sent from a compromised GMail ID.

If you think that nobody else has reported the ID (to Shaw and/or to GMail), you can report it:

  1. E-mail to "reportspam@shaw.ca"
  2. GMail:   https://support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse
  3. also, to the owners of that "ZOHO" domain, since the scammer has created a "survey" page on their network.

Or, assume that somebody else will do the reporting.  🙂
