Pod hardwire port security

I put a pod in my grandsons bedroom and plugged his laptop Ethernet port into the pod with a cable. When his laptop was on Wifi I had it as part of the Kids profile which shuts down from 8pm to 8am. Now it does not put his connection to sleep at 8pm. In the Shaw Home App his laptop shows as asleep until 8am. He still has access. How do I make it so the laptop is still under the kids profile when plugged into a pod?

@Donnarice -- can you connect the pod's power-cord to one of those electronic timers that are used to control one's outdoor Xmas lights, e.g., "on from 5 PM to 11 PM, and otherwise off", and set it to "off between 8 PM and 8 AM"?  Of course, depending on the age of the G-child, the G-child may be tempted to try to tamper with it, but that is a "parental authority" issue, not a "technical issue".
