@LBQ -- while in WebMail, do you see the "Local Storage" folder in the list of folders, down the left-edge of the window?

If so, can you "drag-and-drop" to move messages into that folder?

Where do I export my Shaw emails from webmail so I can save them on my computer when I need to delete them from webmail to make more room?

@shirlguenette -- welcome to this peer-to-peer discussion forum. It is not a direct path to Shaw Support (1-888-472-2222).

After you open Shaw WebMail, move your mouse-pointer over one of the folder-names along the left edge of the window, and let it "hover" there for a few seconds. Soon, you will see a "balloon" that names the folder, lists the number of messages in the folder, the number of unread messages in the folder, and the size (in Kilobytes) occupied by the messages. Are there any messages within that folder that can be deleted?

Point at the "Trash" folder. This folder contains messages that you have deleted. How much of your 1000K allocation is occupied by these messages?  If you delete messages, or "empty trash", the size of this folder will be reduced, giving you space for new incoming/outgoing messages.

Also, please read all the previous messages in this discussion thread. Some of the messages may give you the information that you are requesting.

The short answer is "NO", there is as of 2024 no export feature in Shaw webmail.  If there was, you might keep using it!   The goal apparently is to make the webmail platform as inconvenient and non-user-friendly as possible so that you migrate to some 3rd party webmail such as Gmail.  I was told years ago by someone in Shaw support that their goal is to wind-down webmail the same way FTP and web space for client's images etc. was eliminated.  Just another way of reducing services and raising profits folks!   You may notice in webmail that the receipt dates for messages in the right hand column of your inbox are all cut off by the screen.  No, you can't drag the columns left or right! 😉  You'd like to use bold or italic or underline in your messages?  "No, sorry, we don't offer that.  Have you considered moving to Gmail?"  LOL

I'd suggest you look into Mozilla Thunderbird and set it up so that your emails are stored on an external drive; it's quite easy to do.  If you set up your connection as IMAP what you do in Thunderbird will be duplicated in Shaw webmail and you won't have to log in there to delete messages in order to stay under Shaw's data storage limits.

Mozilla Thunderbird is being completely modernized and is now highly customizable as well as having very good "help" pages and online support forums.

Within your web-browser (Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome), hold-down the CTRL key on your keyboard, tap the "minus" key, and release CTRL key. The font-size will be smaller, which may allow that column to be fully displayed.

(Use CTRL-plus for a bigger font, or CTRL-zero to return to 100% magnification.)

Like millions of other Canadians, I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser.  Does Shawmail not support Firefox?

No, at least in Firefox, enlarging or reducing the on-screen display does not change what is visible, only what size it is.

Like the absence of the usual range of fonts and features, this is clearly intended to make the site awkward and inconvenient and migrate clients away from it.

For example, the column divider between Sender and Subject can be dragged left or right, but not the Date column.  🤔😏

And of course you can't sort the columns by Sender, Subject, Date etc. by clicking on the columns header like you can in probably every other email or webmail program or page!  🙄
