No service early this morning. 4:30am Edmonton. Nothing about a scheduled outage posted.
Do you post unscheduled outage status anywhere? It seems like service was restored around 5:00-5:15, and based on the posts there are frequent overnight interruptions.
sidenote - the “Sort by” Most Recent, of this listing of posts....doesn’t. Had to go to last page to see most recent post. Tried to reset sorting a few times with no change.
Maintenance for like 30 cities last night. My frustration is there was no notifications. No email, nothing on there twitter. Currently working from home and rely on my connection. Also why 6 hours for everywhere. Having dealt with other ISPs there maintenance is typically shorter and outages do not last the full maintenance window.
There was a notification on the updates page, but you are correct, there has to be a better way of communicating this to the customers.

There is.

QED
I would rather not get notifications for 36 towns in my region.
For local outages, Shaw used to email customers, especially if they had phone, if they had an email on their account, even down to the node, but they stopped doing that years ago.
Or, why not breakout national, regions and cities and let me pick which ones I want to be notified of....?
