Says incorrect username even though everything is correctly entered, I just want to find out why I'm only getting 10mb/s download speed when I'm paying for gigabyte internet and am using a cat6 ethernet cable. I've tried multiple different cables and even bought a brand new one and am at my wits end as to why I am not getting anything close to the service I am paying for.

@Kmcyr -- on the "My Shaw" page:  https://my.shaw.ca/services/tv

along the right edge, I see:

Troubleshoot

Help

Refresh my channel listings

Support

Service updates

What happens if you click that "refresh"?

If nothing changes, disconnect the electrical power from the cable-modem, wait a few seconds, and reconnect the power cord, and let it reboot. Do you still get 10 Mbps?

Or, contact Rogers Together With Shaw {1-888-472-2222]  and ask the Agent to "reprovision" the cable-modem, so that it "bottle-necks" to the speed that you are paying for. Also, confirm with the Agent that their database shows the contracted speed.

What about your neighbours who also have a similar cable-modem?  Same speed?

When you look at the "properties" for the network adapter inside your computer, does it show an active 10 or 100 or 1000 Mbps connection to your cable-modem?

Have you enabled "file-sharing" between 2 computers connected to the cable-modem? What speed do you get (Mbps) for an actual file-transfer of a large file? Only 10? faster?
