I have  a Samsung TV and a Pioneer Receiver and I can't get the TV to play through the receiver with Shaw Blue Curve

I have tried export mode withe the Shaw remote

I have the Cable box and the receiver hooked up to the TV with HDMI

The receiver in ARC

When I go to sound output on the TV sometimes I get the AV. receiver option it disappears and then sometimes I don't get the receiver option at all

Very frustrating 

Can anyone help?
