How to use the Spotify app on Ignite TV and Ignite Streaming

Spotify is a digital music, podcast and video service that gives you access to stream millions of songs and other content from creators all over the world. Learn how to use the Spotify app right from your Ignite TV (formerly known as BlueCurve TV) or Ignite Streaming (formerly Shaw Stream) set-top box to listen from your TV. Sign in to your Spotify account to listen to your playlists, discover new music and more!

Note: A Shaw or Rogers internet plan is required to use apps on Ignite TV or Ignite Streaming.

How do I find the Spotify app?

The easiest way to access Spotify is by saying “Spotify” into your voice remote to launch the app.

You can also launch Spotify from your apps menu with these steps:

Ignite TV

1. Press the Shaw or Rogers button on your remote control.
2. Select Apps from the menu bar.
3. Scroll down to the Music and Podcasts section.
4. Select Spotify.

Ignite Streaming

1. On the Home screen, go to the Streaming Apps section and select Spotify.

You can now log in to your Spotify account or create an account.

How to log in to or create a Spotify account

You can log in to the Spotify app on Ignite TV with your existing Spotify account, if you have one. Select Log in and scan the QR code with your mobile phone camera, or go to spotify.com/pair and enter the code on your TV screen.

If you want to create a new Spotify account, select Sign up for free and fill in your information on the screen.
