Can I use older TV box with the new Bluecurve equipment?

Hello,

I upgraded my Internet and TV equipment with Bluecurve Gateway + BlueCurve TV Players.  I have one older ARRIS MP2000 media player.  There is no longer self-activation available on myshaw and after plugging the media box, self-activation doesn't run as documented.  Is this a valid setup though?  Should my ARRIS work with my new BC setup or such mixed setup is not supported?

Thanks!
