We have an ARRIS DCX 3510 PVR. Over the last few days we have noticed that we can delete some programs after watching them but we can not delete others. We cannot delete those programs even from the main menu.
We have rebooted the PVR.
We have changed the programs "Keep until" feature from "Space is needed" to "I delete". The programs still do not delete.
Suggestion, please?

I had same issue. 2 out of my 5 recordings wouldn't delete. Unplugging didn't work. Finally found a solution. Press green diamond D button on remote when you are viewing your recordings. It will add a grey box beside each recording. Highlight the program you want to delete then press the left arrow key next to the OK button on remote to bring up a check mark in grey box. Press Guide button on remote to bring up Ok, delete recording(s) menu. Press Ok on remote to delete. Repeat for any other recordings you wish to delete.

Thank you for this solution. None of my recordings would delete all of a sudden. I tried Shaw help after unplugging and rebooting. They couldn't help and wanted to delete and reformat all my recordings! So I searched and found this terrific solution. You think a technician would know this.

Did you talk to a front-line Shaw Agent, who had training to answer "common" questions, or to a second-level "technician" with broader training & experience?
Employee recruitment, training, & retention is an issue for many companies, from McDonalds to family-practice doctors, including Shaw Together With Rogers.
Thanks very much.
We found you can use this technique to place check marks beside several recordings and then delete them all at once.
Now I'm really confused, bcuz I don't have Green on my Diamond D button on either Rogers/Shaw remote; neither with the Shaw older remote Model# 4351 nor do I have Green on the Diamond D button with my brand New Rogers Ignite Remote, Model# XR15v2RQ.
And when I tried following these steps on Both remotes, neither of them made a Grey Box appear beside the recording in order for me to "Highlight the program you want to delete then press the left arrow key next to the OK button on remote to bring up a check mark in grey box"
Nor did the next step "Press Guide button on remote to bring up Ok, delete recording(s) menu. Press Ok on remote to delete" come up as an option!?
I've been a Shaw customer since the 70's and don't recall all the technical issues that I have now!
But I've had Zillions of issues with Shaw as Shaw itself ever since 2013, and now I've got Gazillions more issues, ever since Shaw merged with Rogers.
After several calls into them they Finally sent me out their Ignite boxes and 2 of the newest remotes but this hasn't solved anything!!
The issues are with Rogers itself and they're AT Rogers and Not AT our Homes! It's Someone within their Technical Department who obviously has No Flippin Clue as to how to Set things up on the Rogers end for us on the Home end!
Instead of recording ONE "NEW" EPISODE on just "ONE CHANNEL", Rogers now Records EVERY SINGLE FLIPPIN NEW EPISODE on EVERY FLIPPIN CHANNEL!!
Thus we end up sometimes with Up To SEVEN **bleep** Recordings of the ONE friggin NEW Episode, and it truly is RIDICULOUS!!
And what's more Ridiculous is that Rogers, after All this Time, still HASN'T Fixed this issue! And Why?? Obviously it's bcuz their Technical Team has NO CLUE as to what the_____ they're doing!
Rogers made Stupid Changes when they Shouldn't have and it Screwed Everything up!! They've even Changed the LENGTH of Time for Saving Recordings. It's no longer a True "UNTIL I DELETE"!! Yes there's still an option for Until I Delete, but regardless of the Until, Rogers/Shaw now Deletes after ONE YEAR!!
This really, really Sucks bcuz I've Saved my Grandbabes' Christmas shows, a few Kids movies, and shows like Curious George, Coco and more for 3+ Years now, just so that I Don't have to Record them every single year!
Apparently Now however, we can No Longer Save recordings past ONE Year bcuz with the Merger and all of the Technical Changes, Rogers/Shaw Now Automatically DELETES our Recordings at the ONE YEAR mark!!
This absolutely Sucks bcuz some of the Movies I've been saving for my Grandbabes, I recorded from Crave and DisneyPlus etc and I no longer Pay for these services, so I can no longer Record these shows and movies Unless I PAY for Crave and DisneyPlus again, and being a Senior, when TV/Cable company's DON'T offer any kind of a Seniors Discount, it's just too Costly inspite of my working 3 days a week!
But the Worst part of this Merger is that, I'm paying almost DOUBLE compared to what I was paying Pre Merger and I didn't Change a single_____ thing!
Only Rogers/Shaw made Changes, and these Changes were to my Monthly Billing Fees where they Upped them Bigtime!! And whenever I call in, I always get Lazy CS agents who just don't want to go the extra tiny step to look into things and clear them up for me. It's just too hard to have to TRY doing something that's a little more Physical than exercising a couple of Fingers that push a few keys on a keyboard!
IF the CS agent has to PHYSICALLY get Off their Chair to Ask someone else for a bit of help, it just isn't going to happen! They'll just LIE to you and tell you that they have to Speak to their Manager and Promise to call you back, yet that Call NEVER comes!!!
However, Telus recently installed their Optik System into our Seniors Condo Complex in Kelowna and I'm seriously considering Switching bcuz Telus actually Offered me the Deal of a Lifetime, which not only Included them "eating/paying" for what I will Owe Rogers/Shaw (which will only be 5 months) but it includes All of their services including mobility and landline bcuz I have a landline now with my Rogers/Shaw and then my mobility is already with Telus, but they're going to Include a deal with 2 Security Cameras, better TV Pkgs, and..... - wait for it - a $600.00 BILL CREDIT!
The guy offered it to me both, In Person while he was up here, and then via Text Message and email when he went back to the Lower Mainland to Confirm with his boss!
It's almost too good to keep resisting!
However, the ONE thing that is holding me back is the fact that with Telus now, you can No Longer SAVE your Recordings for however long you want to!!! And I need to Save my Recordings forever for my Grandbabes, well almost forever!
But, bcuz of newer Technology and things like the CLOUD etc, Telus apparently no longer allows you to record All the recordings you want, Nor can you SAVE them practically Forever like you used to be able to do... It's something to do with Storage Space!?!
At least with Rogers/Shaw, unless they Change more things too, I can Save my Recordings for as long as I want to.
Anyway, my apologies bcuz I kinda not only replied to this initial issue, but I added a few more issues too that have really been bothering me with Rogers/Shaw...
Thanks!

Gazillions, indeed! 🙂
The Shaw/Rogers merger was in April 2023 -- well over a year ago, and NOT likely to be a cause of your issues.
The older Shaw HDPVR devices have an internal disk-drive, where your recording are saved. When that disk-drive gets "flaky", you will have issues such as unable to record, and unable to delete. When you switch to the current TV boxes, all your recordings are GONE. The new boxes record to the "cloud", meaning that they will stay available, should your new TV box have any problem.

Access the settings for each series recording. Configure the recording to record just on ONE channel. QED

That has not been my experience. Were you on a two-year Value Plan that expired? If so, then you are paying the "month-to-month-no-contract" rates, which are higher.
> Telus recently installed their Optik System into our Seniors Condo Complex in Kelowna and I'm seriously considering switching because Telus actually Offered me the Deal of a Lifetime
If you want to pay less per month, take the deal, and say "bye-bye" to ShawTogetherWithRogers.
If the grand-babies need content, purchase the content, via "digital-delivery", and download it to your computer. Connect the "video-output" from your computer to the HDMI-input on your TV.
Can you start to "play" one of the problematic recordings, and then "fast-forward" repeatedly to its end? That should open the "keep or delete" window, where you can attempt to "delete".
Note that an inability to record/delete on the older PVR devices is an indication that the disk-drive inside the PVR is beginning to fail. So, watch all the recorded content that you can, and then contact Support, to get a [free] replacement PVR (or an upgrade to the newest generation of TV boxes).
