How to record only one occurrence of a show

Our Global station shows a news broadcast at 1800 and then repeats it at about 0200 the next morning. How do I record one but not the other, using a Series recording?

Neither are listed as New so I can't use that to differentiate the two. All I seem to be able to do is record both and then delete both after watching one, but that's a waste of space on the PVR and occasionally leads to conflicts.

If you are using the Gateway system then on your " Record Series " page you can pick which time slot you want to record.
