PVR is not recording first showing

I have Blue Curve TV, when I pick a show from the guide and select record series, new episodes, it does not record the show the first time it is on. An example is F1 on TSN, if i click on it at 7am and tell it to record the series it doesn't record at the time I have selected, it records the replay at 3 in the afternoon.

Obviously this is very frustrating and I have also run into this issue on HBO where the time it records isn't right so I get 5 minutes of another show at the start and lose the last 5 min of the show I am recording.

Is there a fix for this or work around besides scrolling through the guide and selecting every episode at the right time?

HBO start and end times can’t be trusted, I no longer record and just watch it directly from the Crave app.

Yes, let's argue about the answer to a question I didn't ask. I asked, "Why is my PVR not recording the first airing of a show".

My mistake. I thought you were also having issues with hbo recordings.

@Canadeon Please give us some examples of shows and channels that aren’t recording on time. The OP was a little confused about the problem they were experiencing.
