My receiver reboots itself every 1 to 1 1/2 hours shutting down for about 2.5 minutes then comes back on. I have talked with tech people and they say it's a software problem "they say the same thing "we're working on it" It's been well over 8 weeks since this started
Anyone else having this problem?

@43royh -- yesterday, there were high winds in southwest BC, causing many power-outages (that BC Hydro is still remediating ). Do you live in an area that experienced those high winds? Did your home lights flicker, to indicate power fluctuations? Do you have a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that provides "smooth" power to the cable-modem and to your TV, to prevent "brown-outs" and "power surges" that may damage the equipment?
@43royh Which cable box do you have? I doubt that it is a software issue, or something that Rogers can fix on their end. Eight weeks is long enough to wait, call in and get a service call booked.
