Just got out new BlueCurve TV. Due to peripheral neuropathy from cancer treatment, the remote arrow buttons are hard to use.
Are there any 3rd party remotes that would work?
thanks!

@pcryan Would the XR11 work better? If so, you could ask Shaw for one.

You would need to check the manufacturer’s specifications to see if a third party remote would work. Harmony remotes work, but you would lose voice control and RF control (the cable box would have to be line of sight).

Thanks very much Rstra! I will give them a ring.

@pcryan -- please see: https://support.shaw.ca/t5/tv-articles/about-bluecurve-tv-voice-control/ta-p/6073
to find the words "accessible" and "voice".
It's possible to use your voice to speak to the BlueCurve remote, rather than pressing buttons.
One of the way. Again - thanks!
Voice control would work, but you would burn through the batteries pretty quickly.
Hi Rstra -
RE Due to peripheral neuropathy from cancer treatment, the remote arrow buttons are hard to use.
I wanted to update you - I got the remote you suggested and it's a night-and-day improvement.
Much appreciated again.
How about the older remote for the XB boxes. I find them to be better with voice recognition. Talk to a Shaw rep as to try the older model. Ask for:

@pcryan Glad to hear that the remote worked out for you.
