Standard Definition Channels Using an HD Box

I have a one year old TV and the coax input seems to be damaged after disconnecting to paint. I only have SD channels in my condo complex. Will I get these channels if I replace my SD box with an HD one. The HD box would allow me to use HDMI.

Thx.

If your building is under a bulk account, you likely have some options to upgrade. If it is your own account, you can replace the box for an hd box. Either way, contact Shaw to what they can offer you.

I agree with @rstra -- since you already have a SD box, you can replace it with a HD box that has HDMI-output to your TV. The question that you will have to ask Shaw (currently, online-chat is given priority over telephone) is whether the switch will allow you to receive the HD channels.
