Hi @JuneGrain hopefully not a stupid question but did you try turning your pvr off and on (not the tv)? If you have and you still are having the same problem you could try to re-boot your pvr by unplugging the power wait 30 seconds and plug your pvr power back in, then it should go into different boot up modes and then display the time when finished and then try and see if it fixed the issue. Hopefully this can help you out, maybe someone else on here might chime in with some ideas as well. Good luck.
@JuneGrain -- if the red lamp is on, the PVR is recording something. Select "view recorded programs", and scroll to see which program is being recorded. Click "OK" to view that program, from the start. This will not interrupt the recording.
Presumably, the "input" on your TV has been selected as the HDMI "output" from the PVR.
