Volume low on recorded shows

I use BluCurve wireless boxes.  I've had a few recorded shows with really low volume lately.  The latest was a movie I recorded off Vison tv.  This has happened with a few other shows in the past couple of weeks ( cant recall which ones) but i've had to crank the volume right up in order to watch them.

I'm wondering what causes this.  Its only the odd show and the rest record just fine.

My wife has experienced similar issues with shows that she has recently recorded from the Vision TV channel.  Some are recording normally.  But several other shows she has had to crank up the "volume" as high as possible in order to hear it.

This is either a "Shaw" or "Vision TV" issue.
