I have the Shaw Blue Curve Total TV which included Fox News and BBC News. I like to consume all points of view. I teach my kids to watch both CNN and Fox, CBC News and CTV News, do their research and base their opinions on all points of view. Since Rogers took over several channels have been quietly disappearing. It's a form of censorship. When I have to renew in May, the new package (Xfinity TV Ultimate) will include less than what I currently have AND it will be more expensive. Unfortunately, since I only watch a very limited number of channels, and half of those channels will no longer be available with Xfinity TV Ultimate, I no longer will have any incentive to continue my Rogers subscription at $140/month, plus $89 for the channels that will be missing. I can subscribe to, and receive for free, everything I need for $49.99/month over the internet on a Streaming box. That's an 80% savings!
It is incredible to find out that there are so many alternatives. I have found several alternative solutions that would cost me significantly less and give me considerably more content that I would watch, including all the channels I have now and the channels that have magically disappeared over the last few months and the channels that will disappear with Xfinity TV Ultimate.
There is so much out there. And now with the US War on Canada, saving money will be more important than ever.
