Shaw recently dropped the Paramount channel (channel 43) in my tv plan. I understand this is through no fault of theirs, but what I don't understand is why they refuse to substitute another channel.
This is the second channel we've lost in recent years (BBC Canada was the first) without a replacement. Same price, less channels.

Exactly. Dropping channels and not replacing them or adjusting the monthly price to compensate. What a great business model they have! Slowly but surely cheating paying customers makes for a better share price!
@nanuuk Rogers wouldn’t replace my Paramount and BET channels either because they were part of a theme pack and not pick and pay channels.
Mine is the grandfathered Popular TV package. To me this is just like eliminating channels in their Total TV package after you have subscribed to an agreed, and set, contract value. Nicle and dime your customer to death.
And then they wonder why so many are cutting the cord these days.
I believe they want you to replace it with Paramount+.
Who watched it anyway? I was kinda annoyed that it was a Canadian version of the channel 😞
