Wireless 4K TV Players connected to switch?

Does anyone know if you can use ethernet on the new wireless 4K TV players to hook them up to a switch connected to the Bluecurve Gateway? I have a number of devices that need to be wired, so 2 ports on the gateway is not sufficient.

Experiment to see if the Ethernet port on the Player is active. Power-off the BlueCurve. Disconnect both Ethernet cables from the BlueCurve. Power-on the Bluecurve. Temporarily connect the Player directly to one of the 2 ports on the BlueCurve, and check the lamps beside the Ethernet sockets (both on the Player and on the BlueCurve) to confirm that the lamp goes from black (no connection) to green (10/100 speed) or to yellow (gigabit).  Result?

Then, connect your switch to the other port on your BlueCurve, and then disconnect the Player from the BlueCurve. Check the lamps on your switch -- which are black? green? yellow? Connect the Player to one of the Ethernet ports on the switch, and re-check those lamps. Result?
