Hello,
I've been using the old Gateway system for many years. I have a 2TB eSATA external hard drive, and three portals. I talked with Shaw about upgrading to BlueCurve 4K. I wanted a wired system with local storage, so I managed to talk them into sending the XG1v4.
The hardware arrived today. They sent me the XG1v4, and three XiD portals. It looks like the XG1v4 is an actual TV device, unlike the Gateway. Is this correct? In which case, I have one portal too many...
There is no eSATA port on the XG1v4, and the Shaw spec sheet says the USB3 port is disabled. Is this still correct? Is it not possible to expand the local storage?
Thanks,
Pete

The XG1v4 is also a cable box so you can return one Xid. There is no option the expand the storage space, it is cloud based now.
