XiOne sound output and Bluetooth

Firstly, how is it that a two year old pair of premium quality Sony headphones is not detected when attempting to pair?? Sony has to be one of the oldest and most popular brands. I believe, this is something which should be addressed in future firmware updates.

Also, in sound settings, there is option for HDMI Sound output, yet I see no physical HDMI Sound output. This may be my own technological deficientness. Is this to be an output from one’s TV and not the box??

@Biberger  There is no separate HDMI output for audio, audio and video are on the same output.

Is that an option to route the audio-output through the HDMI port, through an HDMI-to-HDMI cable, into a device, such as your TV, that can split the incoming signal to the TV circuits versus to the audio circuits (to the TV's built-in speakers), or NOT to route the audio-output at all? Or, to route the audio-output into your stereo/surround-sound audio/video processor/amplifier, instead of toward the TV?
