Shaw Network Security was an add-on feature for protecting your WiFi network and connected devices against all network threats.  It is no longer offered, though Advanced Security continues to be available through the Rogers Xfinity app.

As of June 20, 2024, McAfee Multi Access products (e.g. McAfee Total Protection, McAfee Mobile Security) will no longer be active on your device(s).

What's included

Shaw Network Security included access to Advanced Security and McAfee Multi Access. Advanced Security will continue to be available to Rogers Xfinity Internet customers at no additional charge, while McAfee products offered through Shaw will no longer be active as of June 20, 2024.

Advanced Security detects and blocks online threats and suspicious network activity. This feature is managed in the Rogers Xfinity app.

• Detects and notifies you of threats in real-time.
• Provides detailed threat info and notifications to keep you current with the safety of your network.

Using Advanced Security

To start using Advanced Security:

1. If you are an existing Rogers Xfinity (Shaw) app user, then you're all set. Simply log in to the app to see how it's protecting against network threats.
2. If you're a new Rogers Xfinity (Shaw) user, download the free App and log in to activate Advanced Security.
