When your register devices so they can be used with the Shaw Go WiFi network of hotspots, you can give each device a unique nickname. You can rename registered devices using the My Shaw website (my.shaw.ca) or the My Shaw mobile app.

Rename a registered device using the My Shaw website

To rename a registered Shaw Go WiFi device using the My Shaw website:

  1. Visit my.shaw.ca.
  2. Sign in using your Shaw ID and password.
  3. Click My Services and select Internet from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to Shaw Go WiFi devices.
  5. Click Edit next to the device you want to edit.
  6. Enter a new Name (nickname) for the device.
  7. Click Save.

Rename a device using the My Shaw mobile app

To rename a registered Shaw Go WiFi device using the My Shaw mobile app (Apple App Store | Google Play Store)

  1. Open the My Shaw app.
  2. Tap the menu icon:
    • On an Apple device, tap the three dots (…) in the bottom right corner.
    • On an Android device, tap the three lines (☰) in the top left corner

  3. Tap Shaw Go WiFi Devices.
  4. Tap the device you want to edit.
  5. Enter a new Device Name (nickname).
  6. Tap Save.
