Why doesn't shaw go to its long time subscribers and offer better deals than their present ones, instead of reading about the fact that there are better deals out there?

Not very good customer service!

@murfield -- last week, Shaw called me, offering an "early bird" (3.5 months left on my current two-year Value Plan) renewal, and I accepted a new plan that is a better deal -- cheaper than the current plan. YMMV.
