It's been a while now since Shaw decided to lock down (further) users' router/modem settings like enabling or disabling IPV6, changing Wi-Fi channels, and more.  Shaw wants people to use the app, Blue Curve app instead of their desktop PC.

However, Shaw never bothered and still refuses to change the online where it reads:

Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. Visit internet.shaw.ca to set up port forwards, among many other features and settings.

When clicking the link for internet.shaw.ca, instead of being able to change your settings you're redirected to download the Shaw Android or Apple app. My modem is the XB6.

Let's hope Rogers fixes at least this. It's terribly unfortunate Shaw has locked down even the most basic settings forcing users to purchase a separate router to change these settings which is necessary in many circumstances. Moreover, has chosen to remain silent in advising their customers of this change.

Correct. The Shaw "app" has one version that runs on Android devices, and one version that runs on Apple devices. Download and install the appropriate app, and use the app on your smart-phone to control your XB6.
