iPhone BlueCurve App Won't Connect

Intermittently, the Shaw BlueCurve iPhone app stalls on startup.  Wi-fi is strong; desktop and iPhone show iPhone is connected to wi-fi; and other iPhone apps use wi-fi without problem. 

On rebooting iPhone, and restarting the app, Shaw BlueCurve app error message says "We need an Internet Connection". As above, iPhone is connected.

Hit "Try Again" and the Shaw BlueCurve app will connect to wi-fi.
