Netflix DOES NOT work on Roku or TV but Youtube does. Netflix says its Shaws problem

My Netflix stopped working. It goes to red screen then it says "Netflix has encountered an error" and then the details show error nw-48. Its a Sony TV.

Now, I've done full resets on the TV and the modem a half dozen times which didn't work. So I figured maybe the TV connection to the internet is faulty (even though Youtube streams fine) so I got a Roku box. I ran the Netflix program on the Roku box instead of the one on the TV and it still didn't work.

But Netflix works on my computer through this same wireless connection and on phones.

Netflix says its the Shaw internet's problem. But who can I call ? What could cause Youtube to work fine and Netflix not ?

Edit. I hard wired the Shaw modem directly to the TV. Still doesn't work.

Hello @Stumped1

That error you noted NW-48 is an error with the Netflix app. If it's working on all other devices, then you will need to get in touch with Netflix support https://help.netflix.com/en to find out what might be causing this on the one TV.

@Stumped1 Hit the chat icon which floats on the right side of your web page. Someone from Shaw should be there.

Additionally try removing the Netflix app or logging out then log back in on the TV.
