Says incorrect username even though everything is correctly entered, I just want to find out why I'm only getting 10mb/s download speed when I'm paying for gigabyte internet and am using a cat6 ethernet cable. I've tried multiple different cables and even bought a brand new one and am at my wits end as to why I am not getting anything close to the service I am paying for.
@Kmcyr -- on the "My Shaw" page: https://my.shaw.ca/services/tv
along the right edge, I see:
Troubleshoot
Help
Refresh my channel listings
Support
Service updates
What happens if you click that "refresh"?
If nothing changes, disconnect the electrical power from the cable-modem, wait a few seconds, and reconnect the power cord, and let it reboot. Do you still get 10 Mbps?
Or, contact Rogers Together With Shaw {1-888-472-2222] and ask the Agent to "reprovision" the cable-modem, so that it "bottle-necks" to the speed that you are paying for. Also, confirm with the Agent that their database shows the contracted speed.
What about your neighbours who also have a similar cable-modem? Same speed?

When you look at the "properties" for the network adapter inside your computer, does it show an active 10 or 100 or 1000 Mbps connection to your cable-modem?
Have you enabled "file-sharing" between 2 computers connected to the cable-modem? What speed do you get (Mbps) for an actual file-transfer of a large file? Only 10? faster?
@Kmcyr -- you should be receiving 1000 Mbps to your cable-modem, since that is what you are paying for. If you have a relatively-new smart-phone, it will have as "Wireless AC" network adapter, and if you run a Speedtest.net on it, you should get up to 1200 Mbps to your smart-phone -- packets will each be sent at that speed, even through the cable-modem is receiving packets at the slower 1000 Mbps speed.
If you have an older computer that has a "10/100" Ethernet network adapter, not a "10/100/1000" network adapter, your computer will max-out at 100 Mbps.
Also, read the fine-print on the Ethernet cable. If you see "CAT-5", that cable maxes-out at 100 Mbps, replace it with a "CAT-5e" or "CAT-6" cable, to achieve up to 1000 Mbps.
Oldest part in my PC is from 2021 which is a Gigabyte Aorus b560 ax pro motherboard as well as I have 2 CAT-6 cable's, 1 new 1 older, they both yield the same speeds and when I run speedtest.net on my phone I get 39-40Mbps.

Which phone? Some older phones have WiFi adapters that max-out at 300 Mbps.
New phones have "Wireless AC" adapters that max-out at 1200 Mbps.
Got a friend/neighbour also on Rogers, where you can run the SpeedTest on your phone while connected to their cable-modem? What speed do you get?
Contact Rogers Support [1-888-472-2222] and get the Agent to remotely logon to your cable-modem, to confirm that it is provisioned for the speed in your contract, and maybe "reprovision" it on their end.
