Arris Portal Specs
With the Arris MP2150 Portal connected to your TV, you can view HD channels and full HD quality 1080p Video On Demand content made available to you through your Shaw Gateway HDPVR system. Plus, you can record up to 6 programs simultaneously while playing back a previously recorded program, and view 3D* content in MPEG4 format at up to 1080p resolution.
To view content in HD: Connect an HDMI cable between your TV and Portal for picture and audio (HDMI carries both picture and audio). Alternatively, you can connect a component (red, green, blue) cable for video, and an RCA (red, white) cable for audio.
If you don’t have an HD TV: You can use an RCA/composite cable between your TV and Portal. You will be able to view and access HD channels, however the picture will be displayed in standard definition. Reference the wiring diagrams below for a visual explanation of the setup options.
