@jclove5 That's definitely not how the BlueSky boxes should function. We can try to narrow down if it's the box itself or an issue with power or signal where it's currently connected by swapping its place with one of the other BlueSky boxes in your home. If that specific box exhibits the same behavior in a location where another one is currently working normally, we would know for sure it's an issue with the equipment. (In that case, contact our technical support team here and they can arrange a service appointment for you)
