Indeed adding Disney would be a real plus! I don't know the ins and outs of how Shaw signs up services like YouTube, Netflix and Prime, but I do know Shaw has the hardware and network backbone to add these additional services. I have the Xi6 Wireless TV boxes and they work very well in my home. This to me, is akin to having streaming boxes like got Apple TV, save a larger library of apps, Apple TV + and Apple Music and alike. On one hand Shaw’s streamers bring in live TV, news and sports and supports cloud PVR. The other streamers like Roku and Apple TV not so much, at least in Canada.
I am not too sure of the relationship with Comcast but it does seem Shaw’s services are heavily tied to Comcast evolution. Shaw has a pretty good foundation for more services, hopefully we will see Disney +, Apple TV + and Gem TV added in the near future.
