I have the same issue.  This has been happening for month...

I have the same issue.  This has been happening for months!  What is more frustrating is waiting on the phone for hours!

If this continues I will be moving to Telus.

It is happening with all of my channels.  Screen also goes black.  I have to switch channels and then it's usually ok for 1 - 2 minutes, then repeats itself.

@PatAucoin -- this is a peer-to-peer discussion forum, not a path to Shaw Support.

It could be a "signal-strength" issue -- a weak signal:

  • from the nearest telephone-pole to Shaw's "demarcation-box" on the outside of your house,
  • a non-optimal coaxial-splitter inside that Shaw box, splitting the signal to various "wired" rooms inside,
  • a not-tightly-connected coaxial-cable from the wall-plate to the Shaw TV box,
  • a faulty HDMI cable between the TV box and your TV.

Contact Shaw, and get them to remotely logon to your TV box, to view and interpret the many statistics recorded by the box, looking for a weak signal.
