Unhappy with Blue Curve

My most loved feature in my Gateway and previous systems was the ability to jump forward in fixed 30 second intervals.  This does not seem to work in Blue Curve and is a feature sorely missed.  Yes you can fast forward but I end up all over the place and it takes 5 minutes or more to get to where I want (past the commercials).  Anyone know how to get around this major pain in the butt.

You can program the remote to do a 30 second skip.

You can use voice commands on the BlueCurve to Forward and Rewind pretty much any time increment you want.
