You can rename your security and doorbell cameras in the Ignite HomeConnect (Shaw) app to help you easily tell which area a specific camera is in. This is especially useful if you have multiple cameras in your home security setup.

Renaming a security or doorbell camera

If you're looking to change the name that you assigned to your camera or doorbell during the initial setup, you can change it by following these steps.

  1. Open the Ignite HomeConnect (Shaw) app (Apple App Store | Google Play Store) on your mobile device.
    • Sign in with your Shaw ID and password if you're not already signed in.
  2. Select the Home tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap the thumbnail of the camera feed you wish to view.

  4. Select the Settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner.
  5. Select the Edit (pencil) icon in the upper right corner.
  6. Enter in your desired camera name and select Apply.
